When I was small
You picked me up
You held my hand
You gave me love
Now I’m older
But I still see
The love in your eyes
When you look at me
And just like you
I pass it along
To my children and theirs
This sweet love song
Sometimes with words
And with actions too
The loving heart in this heart
I received from you
This poem reminds me very much of my mother.

What a sweet poem! The picture illustrates it perfectly. Both put me in the mood to cuddle my grandchildren. ❤

Thank you, and I agree sooooo much!!!! I told my granddaughter (almost 6) last night that when I see her next weekend I am going to hug her so long that she will ask me to let her go… Of course I will and give her to my wife in exchange for her little brother (almost 1)!!! ;-)))
