If I write today
Will it resonate
With anyone at all
If I tell a tale
And toast with ale
Will you catch me if I fall
Will the moon still rise
And cross each night
Of a celestial starlit sea
Or will the ink run dry
As I lay here and die
With no one next to me
Yes, dark-ish.

That Muse tends to be a capricious sort, I’ve found.

Good question, Kevin. That’s why I am seeking divine perspective, because that’s the only one that will last.

This isn’t dark to me, just the passage of time and life. Maybe that is dark. It doesn’t really matter as words endure and all people eventually end.

Very true! Maybe that’s why I put a (?) without realizing why? ;-)))
