When the wind comes whispering
But my heart’s out of reach
Who am I
Can I deny
The lessons it could teach
Unwavering, its determination
To do what it must do
No obstacle is too great
Breathe in a breath or two
Step back and take a look again
In myself find belief
For tomorrows on the horizon
When my time comes to teach
This week in the lectionary, the reading was on Doubting Thomas and how the Spirit moves us. The poem is thus very timely, as it talks of wind and breath.

Well, maybe that’s why these words were put on me and released… Hmmm… Cowinkidink? I think not!
