The sea called
The lanterns were lit
As the sails filled with the crisp night wind
A journey begun
Into the unknown
One book closed as another begins
First, we crawl
Then, we walk
As the world opens to our delight
Mother and father
Watch as we go
When our day transitions to night
Beginning, afresh
Foundation is firm
With each step new adventures begin
When soon we find
What we left behind
Repeats when the next boat comes in
