Here is the cover for my first book of poetry. What do you think? I took this photo on a fishing trip in June 2019 while out in the Gulf of Mexico off the Alabama gulf coast. It seemed only natural to use this picture as it captured the grandeur of God’s morning portrait. Naturally, there is a fishing rod in the foreground which is perfect for me.
Wish me luck! All the writing has been completed, and the formatting seems to be okay, so… I need some more input from my editors (wife and a friend) and then I can set a release date. I can’t wait to leave a little something behind for my children and grandchildren.

Over the past several years I have noticed so many from our class years 79-80 who are writers and artists. I am so encouraged by everyone’s God given talent. Just awesome and amazing.

So, I had a similar cover I’d chosen from Amazon when I had an epiphany and pulled out my phone to look at the pictures I’d taken that morning. There it was with a big-ole, “Here I am!” Kind of like Samuel when God called him… ;-)))

Thank you, Liz. I ended up flipping the photo in order to get the sunrise and fishing rod on the front. One person who lives on the gulf actually caught that. Clever girl! Ha… I love that view, as it means I’m on the water and going fishing. Appropriate! ;-)))

My wife edited last night and she said that it was very difficult to read so much deep poetry about faith… There was a lot of sniffling going on… She is a trooper! ;-)))
